Jordi Triay and Lluís Más, winners of the Winter Cup of the Artiem Snipe Circuit

Sailors from Club Marítimo de Mahón have won in a regatta in which only three races could be carried out and where Peter Saura and Borja Llopis stay at the top of the general.

Sailors from Club Marítimo de Mahón Jordi Triay and Lluís Mas have won on Sunday, October 19th, at the Winter Cup, second of the races of the Artiem Snipe Circuit. The date, which took place in Mahon, had only three races since Saturday’s one was cancelled due to the lack of wind. With Sunday’s results, Peter Saura and Borja Llopis stay at the top of the general qualifying.

The lack of wind marked Saturday’s, October 18th, session, which was cancelled, leaving everything for Sunday. Three races could be carried out, in which Jordi Triay and Lluís Mas won 7 points, winning in the third and last one. David Saura was second with 11 points, and with the victory in the first race of the day, and bronze was for Fernando Rita and Julia Rita, with 11 points also but with a second place as best result. 

This way, after the fight of two of the four tests that form part of the Snipe Artiem Circuit, the leaders are Peter Saura and Borja Llopis, of Club Marítimo de Mahón,  with 40 points, 8 of Autumn Cup and 32 of the Winter Cup, followed by Josep Pons and Xema Ulldemolins, from CN Ciutadella, with 46 (28 + 18) and of Juan Magro and David Gómez, of the Club Marítimo de Mahón, with 47 (27 + 20).

The competition will return the weekend of the 17th, 18th and 19th of April, with the fight of the Spring Cup, race that will also be useful to learn what crews achieve the place that gives the Club Marítimo de Mahón for the 2026 Snipe’s World Champs.

La competición se retomará el fin de semana de 17, 18 y 19 de abril, con la disputa de la Copa Primavera, prueba que servirá, además, para concer qué tripulantes consiguen la plaza que otorga del Club Marítimo de Mahón, para el Campeonato del Mundo de Snipe de 2026.
