Jordi Triay and Lluís Mas are crowned victors of the Snipe Balearic Championship

The pair from Club Marítimo de Mahón imposed itself thanks to the second place achieved in the only race celebrated on Sunday, June 15th.

Snipe class already knows this year’s Balearic winners. The pair formed by Jordi Triay and Lluís Mas rose with the titles this Sunday in the celebrated championship, precisely, in  Mahon’s entity. Triay and Mas took advantage of the only test celebrated on Sunday, in which the finished second to rise with a new title. The protagonist of the weekend has been, without a doubt, the wind and its instability, which has allowed only three races to be carried out, two on Saturday, June 14th, and one on Sunday, June 15th.

The instability, precisely made that on Saturday only two races could be carried out, which left a triple tie to 4 points at the top of the podium with Marta Torner and Enrique Mir, from Mahon (3,1), followed by Triay and Mas (1,3) and the representative pair of Club Nàutic de Ciutadella, Toni Pons and Sasha Pons (2,2). On Sunday, the wind came down and only one race could be carried out, in which the victory was for Enric Noguera and Cristian Vidal.

Jordi Triay and Lluís Mas were the victors with a total of 6 points (1,3,2) followed by Toni pons and Sasha Pons with 7 (2,2,3) and Marta Torner and Enrique Mir, with 9 (3,1,5).

In total, 21 ships have participated in the Snipe Balearic Championship, a first general training, bridging the gap of which will be lived at the Snipe World’s Champs, which will take place in September, 2026, in Club Marítimo de Mahón.
