Javier Cardona and Susana Sevillano sweep the 6th 2025 Canal de Nado Eivissa Crossing

Javier Cardona, from AD Ibiza Half Triathlon, and Susana Sevillano, from Club Náutico Santa Eulàlia, were crowned overall winners in the 2.000 metres test of the 6th Canal de Nado Eivissa Crossing, celebrated this Sunday, August 3rd, in the beach of Ses Figueretes with near 300 participants.

Cardona signed a solid performance in the male category, with a time of 26 minutes and 39 seconds, imposing himself by little difference in front of Pere Majoral (Club Natación Palma, 26:42) and Víctor Adda (Club Náutico Santa Eulalia, 26:43), second and third respectively.

In the female category, Sevillano validated last year’s triumph once again by stopping the chronometer at 27:50, surpassing by three seconds her clubmate Jimena García (27:53). Third place was for María Bonet Pérez, also from the “santaeulaliense” club, with 29:46.

In the distance of 500 metres, Adriana Esteban (Club Natació Eivissa) stood out in the female, with a time of 7:15, and Pau Torres, from the same club, in male category, with 6:52.

The 4×500 metres relay was dominated with clarity by Club Natació Eivissa’s team, formed by Pau Torres, Albert Romero, Pere Majoral and Miquel Llorenç, who achieved a mark of 28:16, with over a minute od advantage over their rivals

The journey, organized by Trideporte Club, and Club Natació Eivissa and Ibiza’s Council, reunited swimmers from all ages and levels, in an edition that surpassed expectations once again. The event stood out for its excellent organization, the public’s cheering and the familiar and festive ambience.

Eric Ruiz Pérez was also awarded as the youngest swimmer, and Antonio Sánchez Granados as the most veteran, reflecting the inclusive and generational spirit of the event.

Awards, raffles and gifts for the participants put the finishing touch to a vibrant swimming journey in open waters, which consolidates this journey as one of the greatest sporting summer dates in Ibiza.
