Yesterday, Wednesday, September 3rd, a new edition of the Iniciación Trophy, reserved for Optimist class boats, concluded in the waters off Talamanca beach, under the organization of the Club Náutico Ibiza.

The regattas took place in Talamanca Bay with easterly winds on the first day and southerly winds on the second, ranging between 4 and 7 knots, which allowed the scheduled races to unfold normally.
In the Optimist Beginners class, four races were contested. Dunia Sigiro dominated the overall standings, followed by Hugo Díez in second place, Nahuel Frega in third, Nacho Cisterna in fourth, and Hugo Bullón in fifth. Trophies were awarded to the top five finishers in this class.
In the other division, the Optimist class for the Club Náutico de Ibiza team, Gerard Ribas topped the overall standings to be crowned champion in the under13 category. Eric Torres won in under11, while Jiahong Chen claimed first place in under16.
After the races, at 1:00 p.m., the trophy ceremony was held at the sailing school facilities of the club, along with the closing party for the summer sailing courses.
Once again, the Trofeo Iniciación concluded successfully, dedicated to novice skippers who have completed one of the sailing courses offered by the organizing club. The competition, which began on Tuesday, September 2, was sponsored by Heladería Los Valencianos in Ibiza.
