On Saturday the 13th, starting at 12 noon, the competition valid for the trophy at stake began, with very favorable wind and sea conditions for sailing. A southeasterly wind of 6 to 8 knots accompanied the first three races held.

On Sunday the 14th, conditions were even more generous for the participants, with an easterly wind but greater intensity, ranging from 8 to 11 knots, which put the skills of the sailors in the Children’s category to the test.

A total of 38 competitors took part, representing the island’s different clubs: C.N. S. Antoni, C.N. Sta. Eulalia, Club Mare Nostrum, and C.N. Ibiza, which hosted the event.

The Club Náutico Ibiza dominated the Optimist regatta, winning the overall with Ian Maurovich in first place and Gerard Ribas in second in the final standings. Third place went to Paula Pina from C.N. S. Antoni.

Ian Maurovich (C.N. Ibiza) was the overall winner, far ahead of his rivals, taking first place in five of the six races contested and scoring a total of 5 points after the discard was applied. Second overall was Gerard Ribas (C.N. Ibiza) with 14 points, and Paula Pina took third overall with 19 points. Paula also won first place in Optimist U15, while Flavia Planells (C.N. S. Antoni) was first in Optimist U11.

After Sunday’s races, the awards ceremony was held for the winners of their respective categories, presided over by the Commodore of Club Náutico Ibiza, David Tur, together with Daniel Lloyd representing Heladería Los Valencianos, and Bartolomé Marí Mayans representing Familia Marí Mayans.

This competition was the first qualifier to establish the 2025–26 island ranking, which will determine the sailors who will take part in the regional events of the Balearic Sailing Federation. The next qualifying regatta will take place on September 27th–28th in the waters of San Antoni de Portmany Bay, with the Rigging Med Trophy.
