Ibiza Town Council has launched the tender for the contract to operate authorisations for the occupation of maritime-terrestrial public domain assets for the provision of seasonal services on beaches for the 2026–2029 period.

The operation is subject to authorisation from the Balearic Coastal Authority and to the payment of the corresponding concession fee, as well as the annual fee offered by successful bidders, which must be upwardly revised.
The authorisations will allow the temporary occupation of the maritime-terrestrial public domain with removable installations, without implying any transfer of ownership or state public domain rights, the municipal team recalled.
Furthermore, the Town Council may revoke the authorisations at any time, without the right to compensation, if they become incompatible with subsequent regulations, cause damage to the public domain, hinder uses of general interest, or negatively affect public use of the beaches.
The tender is divided into different lots corresponding to the beaches of Ses Figueretes, Platja d’en Bossa, Talamanca and Sa Punta, including services such as sun loungers, parasols, pedal boats, kiosks and toilets.
Specifically, the tender is divided into three lots, including 462 sun loungers, 108 fewer than in the previous tender, and 231 parasols, 54 fewer than in the 2022–2025 contract.
In this way, the Town Council aims to guarantee the provision of seasonal beach services in the municipality through temporary installations intended for public use.
As the council does not have its own staff to manage these services directly, it considers their operation through authorisation to third parties to be the most appropriate solution, in accordance with current regulations.
