Great turnout at the Restaurante Es Nàutic Trophy

CNSA topped the ILCA 4 standings, while CNI won in Optimist and CNSE in ILCA 6. In the end, a total of 87 sailors from Ibiza and Mallorca took part.

Portmany Bay hosted a new edition of the Trofeo Restaurante Es Nàutic for dinghy sailing this weekend, with a total of 87 sailors competing from the three clubs in Ibiza (Club Náutico Ibiza, Es Nàutic and Club Náutico Santa Eulària) as well as four clubs from Mallorca (Reial Club Nàutic del Port de Pollença, Club Nàutic Portocolom, Club Nàutic Portitxol and Club de Mar). The excellent weather on both Saturday and Sunday allowed the Race Committee to complete the programme for the first island qualifying event, with south-westerly winds and completely clear skies.

The Optimist class had the largest number of entries, with 54 participants, while ILCA 4 brought together 22 sailors and ILCA 6 had 12, with the podium places well distributed among the participating clubs. Sailors from Club Náutico Ibiza led the Optimist competition, with Ian Maurovich dominating from start to finish, followed by Álex Martí, from Reial Club Nàutic Port de Pollença, and Jiahong Chen, also from CNI.

In ILCA 4, the dominance of the San Antonio sailors was absolute, with the entire podium taken by CNSA competitors. Paula Pina finished in first place, followed by Candela Martín and Sofía Marí Mayans. In ILCA 6, Club Náutico Santa Eulària sailor Mateo Delgado took victory, with his clubmate Francisco Poveda finishing third, while Jaume Llorens, from CNSA, came second.
