A wind, almost always favorable, but with strong streaks that provoke a lot of waves in the sheet of water that made a lot of tests to be decided by that circumstance.

The competitions kicked off on Friday, August 1st, with the individual tests (k1), with the 200, 500 and 1.000 metres. On Saturday, August 2nd, the doubles and quadruples tests (k2 and k4) took place upon the 500 and 1.000 metres; and on Sunday, August 3rd, the team tests would close in 200 metres.

In addition, some of these tests were part of the 3rd National Selective of Sprint too, in which, in the previous journey it was disputed in this same scenery. In fact, those victories, and after being confirmed by the sports committee of the specialty, will give tickets to go with the national Sprint team to the World Champs of Milan.

In addition, Balearic paddlers from Real Club Náutico de Palma and Club Marítimo de Mahón have shone in both categories.

Regarding the individual category, it is important to highlight the performance of Marta Rosselló and Blanca Jaume, who have achieved third and fourth place, respectively, in K1 500, or the one of Rubén Carrillo, peer of the same club that has achieved silver in C1 200. It is also important to highlight Noel López's participation, who has finished 10th in the Final B of K1 200m.

On the other side, Alma Rabinerson finished 6th of the A final in 200m and 1st of the final B in 500 metres (2nd and 5th Under23 respectively), while Claudia Vidal finished 9th in the final A in the 1.000m and 7th of the final B in the 500m. Both paddlers from Club Marítimo de Mahón, beat the records of the entity in all the disputed tests, showing being in full progression between the elite.

The senior men of the Maritime also show being in their best moment to close the season. Vinca Escandell passed to the final B, where he achieved 8th place with a mark of the entity included.

Regarding the teams category, Alex Graneri, from Real Club Náutico de Palma, has been crowned Spain’s champion in the absolute category of K1 500 metres and has achieved a silver medal alongside his clubmate, Lluc Matas. Andrián Castaño, also from RCNP, has summed up a gold medal in PK1 200 metres, silver in PK2 500 metres and has been crowned national champion in K2 inclusive mixed alongside Joan Rosselló.
