Although two courses had originally been planned outside the bay, towards Cala Salada and the islet of es Pallaret, rough sea conditions ultimately led organisers to move the race to an inner course located between the harbour and the southern shoreline.
Competitors ranged from children to veterans. The youngest categories raced over 2,000 metres, while the remaining categories covered 4,600 metres for women and 6,900 metres for men. In the end, the event went ahead under bright sunshine and a brief pause between storms, as today, like Saturday, the prevailing winds in the bay would have made racing impossible.
CNSA athletes secured multiple podium finishes, winning a total of twelve medals (four gold, five silver and three bronze), as well as second place in the club standings, which were topped by Real Club Náutico de Palma, with Club Náutico Santa Eulalia in third place. CNSA also finished second in the masters (veterans) club rankings, where Club de Mar took first place and Club de Piragüismo Costa d’en Blanes finished third.
