Fernando Rita and Alex Tinoco win the Menorca Snipe Championship

The pair secured three wins out of three possible races on Sunday, May 4, and finished at the top of the podium, followed by Jordi Triay and Pablo Velarde, and then Marta Torner and Kike Mir.

Fernando Rita and Alex Tinoco were crowned Menorca Snipe champions this Sunday. The experienced sailors from Club Marítimo de Mahón delivered a perfect Sunday with 3 races and 3 victories, overtaking Jordi Triay and Pablo Velarde, who had been leading at the end of Saturday. A total of 12 boats participated in the event, organized by the Club Marítimo de Mahón.

Triay and Velarde dominated Saturday, May 3, with a win and a second-place finish, but were overtaken by Rita and Tinoco’s three first-place finishes on Sunday, despite having placed third and fifth on Saturday. In the end, Rita and Tinoco claimed the title with 6 points, followed by Triay and Velarde with 8, and Marta Torner and Kike Mir in third with 11 points.

The regatta served as an excellent warm-up ahead of the Balearic Snipe Championship, which will be hosted by the Club Marítimo de Mahón on June 14 and 15.
