Three of the five podiums were taken over integrally by the paddlers of Club Nàutic Sant Antoni. The competition took place in Esperanza’s Lake.

YOU HAVE ALL OF OUR FULL PROGRAMS HERE!Spectacular results from Club Nàutic Sant Antoni’s paddlers on June 21st at the Olympic Sprint Balearic Championship of Canoeing, that took place for the Senior and Junior categories, in Esperanza’s Lake (Alcudia). The domain of the Junior Canoeing team was crushing, after achieving 13 out of 15 medals into play. The result is historical for the CNSA, with three out of five podiums occupied integrally by CNSA’s athletes.
Between the obtained results, it is important to highlight the rest of Noel López’s, Raúl Prendes’s and Álvaro Rubio’s team, all of them with five medals in 5 tests. The CNSA displaced with 12 representatives (8 Junior men, 3 Junior women and one Under23 man), with 5 races taking place in this championship: K1 and K2 200 metres, K2 and K4 500 metres, and K1 1.000 metres (500 metres for women), with their respective semifinals and finals.
The race took place on Saturday, June 21st and it was very intense, from morning to afternoon, and also very warm. However, CNSA’s representatives performed at a great level and confirmed that their training towards Spain’s Olympic Sprint Championship, which will be held in Pontevedra from August 1st to 3rd, goes very well. Eduardo Prendes’s and Beto Solé’s students returned to Ibiza with motivation going through the roof to face the last six weeks of preparation before the most important event of the season.
In the classification by clubs, Real Club Náutico de Palma imposed itself, followed by Club Marítimo de Mahón, and with the CNSA one again in the podium, occupying the third place between nine clubs of the archipelago. Two of the gold medals were for Noel López (K1 Junior Male 200 m and K1 Junior Male 1.000 m) and the duo formed by Raúl Prendes-Álvaro Rubio, who obtained two more (K2 Junior Male 200 m and K2 Junior Male 500 m). María Gallego-Valentina Rodríguez (K2 Junior Female 200 m) and Raúl Prendes Álvaro Rubio-Noel López-Facundo González (K4 Junior Male 500 m) also conquered gold.
Two of the silver medals went to Raúl Prendes (K1 Junior Male 200 m and K1 Junior Male 1.000 m) and also to Facundo González-Roy Kikozashvili (K2 Junior Male 200 m), María Gallego-Valentina Rodríguez (K2 Junior Female 500 m) and Ilhan Velasco-Roy Kikozashvili-Sigifredo Felipe-Marc Boned (K4 Junior Male 500 m). Finally, the bronze medals were double for Álvaro Rubio (K1 Junior Male 200 m and K1 Junior Male 1.000 m) and for Ilhan Velasco-Noel López (K2 Junior Male 200 m and K2 Junior Male 500 m), as well as for María Gallego (K1 Junior Female 200 m) and Valentina Rodríguez (K1 Junior Female 500 m).
