The races took place only in K1 individual ships, on a 500 metre distance in a track for Cadets and Yout, and in one of 1.000 metres in line with the rest of the categories.
The CNSA obtained a total of 7 medals, of which two were golden, three silver and two bronze. Gabriela Mendes (Youth Female A) and Aura Llobet (Prebenajmin Female) were on top of the podium, while the silver medals were for Lara Ribas (Youth Female A), Júlia Roselló (Youth Female B) and Aina Rosellí (Juvenile Female B). The two bronze medals were for Atay Kikozashvili (Juvenile Male B) and Zoe Álvarez (Benjamin Female B). It is important to highlight too the well deserved third place for the CNSA in the clubs classification, in which Club Marítimo de Mahón imposed itself, alongside the Real Club Náutico de Palma in second place.
It was, definitively, a very positive journey for CNSA’s team, since, good and hopeful performances of peers that clearly improve in the classification are added to the usually consolidated paddlers in podium places in Balearic competitions, depending on how the season advances. A clear example is Saúl Calderón, 4th in Youth B, result of the work and compromise in the training sessions.
Next Saturday, June 21st, at the same scenery, it will be the turn for the CNSA’s Juniors, with the Sprint Balearic Championship, last test of training before the most important date of the season: Spain’s Olympic Sprint Championship, which will take place in Verducido (Pontevedra), from August 1st to 3rd.
