Eleven sailors of the Club de Vela Port d'Andratx leave a mark in the Tomás Darder Trophy

This weekend, from September 20th to the 21st, the Tomás Darder Trophy/Mallorca Championship, qualifying competition for the insular ranking of the Optimist class, has taken place.

Organized by the Club Marítimo San Antonio de la Playa in Can Pastilla, alongside with the Balearic Sailing Federation, over a hundred young sailors, in different divisions and initiation, have competed in the regatta.

During the competition, a splendid bay of Palma offered ideal sailing conditions, with thermic ‘Embat’ breezes of up to 14 knots on Saturday and weaker ones on Sunday, taking place this way a total of 5 races.

Eleven sailors of the Club de Vela Puerto Andratx participated, highlighting the performance of Oliver Iglésias, Under16 seventh male; Natalia Krupska, Under16 seventh female; and Jon Iglésias, Under11 fourth male. The rest of the team competed generously between a numerous and skilled fleet, focused with attention and competitiveness by their coach, Ana Musatova.
