Once again, the sea proved that it knows no borders or differences. Following the outreach sessions held at Club de Mar Almería, the focus of adaptive sailing shifted from 15 to 18 December to the Club de Vela Puerto Andratx, where a training clinic brought together sailors from different parts of Spain.

YOU HAVE ALL OF OUR FULL PROGRAMS HERE!For four days, in the heart of Advent and under the auspices of the Royal Spanish Sailing Federation and the Higher Sports Council, the colorful sails of the Hansa 303 fleet filled Mallorcan waters. Athletes from Catalonia, the Valencian Community, the Canary Islands, and the Balearic Islands shared training sessions and experiences aboard safe, fully accessible boats.
Guided by coaches from the host club, participants worked on technique and tactics through on-the-water sessions combined with classroom talks, boat rigging, and joint performance analysis. Each maneuver was closely monitored, marked by sporting rigor and a sensitivity to the diverse abilities of the sailors.
Beyond preparation for future competitions, the sessions offered a holistic experience that brought together sport, inclusion, and a passion for the sea. At the close of the final afternoon, the verdict was unanimous: this was not just a clinic, but an experience that reinforces adaptive sailing as a benchmark discipline in Spain.
The gathering in Puerto Andratx once again highlighted the sport’s role in building community and transmitting values, consolidating lessons that are now an essential part of the present and future of Balearic and Spanish sailing.
