In the women’s category, the standout performer was Cristina Ladaria, who delivered an outstanding performance in the static apnea (STA) discipline. The athlete recorded a time of 5 minutes and 40 seconds, setting a new Balearic record and surpassing the previous mark by 15 seconds, a record she herself had set at the 2025 Spanish Championship held in Vitoria.

In the men’s competition, the spotlight was shared by Juanan Servera and Mateusz Bucszeck, both medalists at the 2025 Spanish Championship. The Polish athlete based in Mallorca won the static apnea (STA) and dynamic apnea without fins (DNF) events, while the Porto Cristo athlete claimed victory in dynamic apnea with fins (DYN), confirming his strong form.

The championship was supported by the Sa Pobla Town Council, Federóptics Món Visió, FBDAS and Blausub Federóptics.

On the organizational side, Joaquín Moreno served as event coordinator, results manager and chief judge. Lane judges were July Melo and Carlos March, with the collaboration of Luis Nando, Meme, Maria Antònia López, Marga Fons and Caterina. Logistics and overall coordination were handled by Concha Fernández; photography and social media coverage by Leo Hernández and Anabel; medical services were provided by Dr. Aina Obrador; and the safety team included Borja Ramírez, Alex Abato, Juan Amengual and Guillem Mayol.

The next event on the calendar will be the 2026 Regional Championship, scheduled for March 21st in Es Mercadal (Menorca).
