STAY UP TO DATE OF WHAT WE DO AND RECEIVE OUR NEWSLETTERA dozen cruising boats set sail this Saturday, May 10, under partially clear skies and a southeasterly sea that gradually built up to a heavy swell throughout the day and into the early hours of Sunday, navigating a round trip toward the islet of La Horadada, in the Cabrera Archipelago.
After nearly 9 and a half hours of sailing, Miguel Rojo’s splendid Swan 58, “Lullaby,” was first to cross the finish line in real time; “Kine,” skippered by Sean McCarter, followed shortly after and was declared the winner in corrected time for the ORC 0/3 division. After midnight, amid storms and spectacular lightning, Silvia Cabrera’s “Just4Fun” was crowned winner in the smaller ORC 4/5 class.
Next weekend, May 17 and 18, the XXVIII Two Seasons Sailing League will conclude with the Trofeo Presidente, a round trip from Andratx waters to Palma Bay, where the season’s overall winner will be crowned.
