With more than twenty editions of history, this championship is considered one of the standout Optimist events at Club Nàutic Sa Ràpita, as well as the first qualifying regatta for the Spanish Championship.
Over the course of the three-day competition, sailors faced very different weather conditions. On Friday, three races were completed under steady winds and favorable sea conditions. The Saturday races, however, had to be canceled for safety reasons due to an orange weather alert for heavy storms across Mallorca. On Sunday, the fleet returned to the water under sunny skies and light breezes, completing two more races, allowing for one discard in the final results.
Club Nàutic Sa Ràpita expressed great satisfaction with the event’s outcome, once again reaffirming its commitment to grassroots sailing and the training of young athletes. The overall victory went to Stijn Oosterhaven (Club Nàutic s’Arenal), followed by Luca Nüeschen Bardavio (Club Nàutic s’Arenal) in second place and Jan Palou Espinar (Real Club Náutico de Palma) in third.
