After recently celebrating 55 years of activity, the club has now taken another major step forward with the presentation of its new social clubhouse, a long-awaited project that has finally become a reality and marks the beginning of a new era for the Club and all its members.
The presentation took place last Saturday, May 9th, during an event held exclusively for members and their families, who had the opportunity to discover the new facilities firsthand. More than 300 people attended the simple, welcoming, and highly symbolic gathering, during which the Club shared with its members a project designed to become a new meeting point for the entire Club Nàutic Sa Ràpita community.
Canapés and drinks were served throughout the event, while guests explored the different areas of the building in a relaxed atmosphere accompanied by live music. During the celebration, a documentary archive was also screened, recounting the origins of the Club and the process through which its founders promoted the construction of the marina, strengthening the connection between the Club’s heritage and the future now opening with this new building.
The day also served as a tribute to the founding members and their families, whose legacy remains an essential part of the Club’s identity. In this context, the president of the Club, Pau Lladó, and board member and head of social events María Nicolau addressed attendees before the official inauguration of the building.
After more than a year of design, planning, construction, and development, the Club has opened the doors to modern, functional, and highly welcoming facilities. The building has been conceived to centralize part of the Club’s administrative and social activity while becoming a true gathering place for the Club’s social community.
Located at the entrance to the Club, the new building offers nearly 600 square meters spread across two floors and includes offices, administration and management areas, members’ lounges, and various multifunctional spaces designed to host cultural, gastronomic, family, and social activities. It is intended to strengthen the Club’s social life and encourage interaction between long-standing members and the younger generations who form part of the Club’s present and future.
The project has also allowed for the renovation, adaptation, and expansion of the Club’s entrance area, improving pedestrian safety, access to the facilities, and the surrounding environment, which has been upgraded with newly paved access roads and a more comfortable and functional layout.
The building includes a reception area, elevator access for people with reduced mobility, fully equipped bathrooms and restrooms, a boardroom, projection room, television lounge with sofas, direct access to the restaurant, and an exclusive terrace reserved for members. In addition, the entire building is fully climate-controlled and equipped to provide greater comfort throughout the year.
The upper floor houses the Sala Xaloc, one of the standout features of the new building, opening onto elevated terraces. From there, members will enjoy a completely new experience within the Club, with privileged views over the surrounding area, the beach of Sa Ràpita, Cabrera Island, and the marina as a whole.
Meanwhile, the ground floor, named Sala Ponent, has been designed as a versatile and adaptable space. Thanks to its modular panels, it can be configured according to the needs of each activity, making it suitable for meetings, talks, gatherings, celebrations, and all kinds of events aimed at Club members.
The project also incorporates efficiency and sustainability measures, including the installation of solar panels, reinforcing the Club’s commitment to more responsible and forward-looking management.
With this new social clubhouse, members now have access to spacious, modern, and first-class facilities, a place designed for sharing experiences, strengthening community ties, and continuing to build the future together. From this new hub, Club Nàutic Sa Ràpita will continue promoting its social activities and writing the next chapters of its history.
