Club de Vela Puerto de Andratx Crowned RS Venture European Champion

The Spanish adaptive sailing team crew from Club de Vela Puerto Andratx claimed European gold in German waters after a demanding competition shaped by challenging Baltic Sea conditions.

The event, held as part of the 2026 RS Games and the prestigious Travemünder Woche from 18 to 21 July in Germany, brought together the continent’s leading crews in the Para, Inclusive and Open categories.

The Spanish crew of Pau Toni Homar and Ramón Gutiérrez, representing Club de Vela Puerto Andratx, made history by once again being crowned overall European champions in the RS Venture Connect Class, successfully defending the continental title they won last year in Oslo.

The Baltic Sea presented the fleet with demanding and stormy conditions, forcing the race committee to keep the sailors ashore for two days. Despite the challenging weather, the Spanish pair demonstrated strong tactical and technical ability under the guidance of coach Juanjo Beltrán and with the support of Ana Musatova, securing the top step of the European podium.

The national team’s participation was completed by the commendable performance of Jordi Cargol and Jana Mestre, who delivered a strong result at this major international event.

The competition was sailed aboard the RS Venture Connect, a boat renowned for its stability, safety and accessibility, and designed to ensure the greatest possible equality between competitors.
