The Balearic Canoeing Federation held the 3rd Race of the Balearic Sea Kayak Cup on Saturday, August 23, as part of the 30th Volta a les Illes Malgrats, with strong participation and a vibrant atmosphere at Santa Ponsa beach. The race began with a spectacular Australian-style start, where paddlers launched from the shore standing alongside their boats, challenging the gentle swell and southwest breeze.

The club secured a well-deserved second place in the club rankings thanks to outstanding performances across multiple categories. In MX Senior SS2 8000, the duo María Reus and Dani Santiago took first place, while in Men U23 SS2 8000, Josep Joan Cifre and Óscar Álvarez also claimed gold. Among the younger paddlers, Pep Alemany won gold in Men Infantil A SS1, with Eric Dosil third and Guiém Porcel seventh. In Men Infantil B SS1, Arnau Alemany and Gabriel Sielva finished third and fourth, respectively.
In Cadet A SS1 8000, Jorge Garrido earned second place, followed by Víctor Sobzak in third and Maximilian Flaska in ninth. Margalida Alemany secured second in Women Cadet A SS1 8000. In Men Cadet B SS1 8000, Andreu Ferrer took gold and Héctor Sielva bronze, while Núria Ferrer placed third in Women Cadet B SS1 8000.
Veteran paddlers also shone in their categories. Vicente Bosch and Guillermo Soler finished second in Men Veteran SS2 8000. In individual events, Christoph G. Graewert won Men Veteran 45-49 SS1 8000, José Alemany took gold in 50-54 SS1 8000, and Guillermo Alemany finished second in 60-64 SS1 8000, helping the club secure fifth place in the veteran club rankings.
With these results, Club de Vela Port d’Andratx once again demonstrates its strength in sea kayaking, consolidating its status as one of the leading clubs in the Balearic Islands.
