Check the real-time status of Formentera's beaches

The Consell de Formentera has launched a new web platform that allows residents and visitors to quickly and easily check the current conditions of the island's beaches, with daily updates designed to ensure a safer day at the seaside.

The service, available through the Safe Beach platform, provides information on all supervised beaches in Formentera, including flag status, sea conditions, the presence of jellyfish, wind intensity, swell conditions and any other incidents that may affect bathing conditions.

The information is updated every day at 11:00 a.m. by lifeguard and rescue teams, with the aim of providing reliable data to both residents and tourists before they head to the beach.

Although users can access the information directly through the Safe Beach platform by selecting Formentera as their location, it is also available at info.safebeach.es/formentera.

The website currently provides information on the following beaches in Formentera: Cala Saona, Ses Illetes, Els Arenals, Es Pujols and Platja de Llevant.

In addition, the Consell is installing information boards featuring QR codes at various points across the island to make the service even more accessible. By scanning the code with their mobile phones, users will be able to instantly check beach conditions from anywhere.

With this initiative, the Consell de Formentera aims to improve access to useful and up-to-date information about the island's coastline, reinforcing beach safety throughout the summer season.
