The competition, sponsored by GP Sails, the sailmaking company run by Matías Gil and Neus Poncell, currently has 20 boats registered. Entries will remain open until 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 4th.
José Juan Torres’ Histolab and Manuel Cavaller’s Salt are among the contenders hoping to repeat their victories. Histolab won the combined ORC 1-2 overall standings in 2025, while Salt will defend its title in ORC 4. Also returning are Maria Antònia Campins’ Tres Mares, which finished second in ORC 4 last year, and Mark Sadler’s Abracadabra, runner-up in the Sportboat division.
The racing programme combines one coastal race with two windward-leeward races, with no discard allowed. The first warning signal is scheduled for 12:00 noon on both Saturday and Sunday. On Sunday, no new races may start after 3:00 p.m. The completion of just one race will be enough for the trophy to be considered valid. The pre-registered fleet is divided into ORC 2, ORC 3, ORC 4 and Sportboat, although the final composition of the groups will depend on participation.
Onshore activities will include a sailors’ gathering with refreshments on Saturday on the club’s terraces and the prize-giving ceremony on Sunday in the Sala Magna, both taking place after racing concludes. Prize draws will also be held at both events for registered crew members who are present.
