In the women’s fleet, the top three positions remain unchanged. Aimee Bright (NZL) continues to lead the championship, ahead of Maya Gysler (NOR) in second and Tuva Oppedal (NOR) in third. All three consolidated their positions at the top after two days of competition.
Also worth highlighting is Bàrbara Winau, from Club Nàutic s’Arenal, who currently sits 13th in the women’s standings, just a few places outside the top ten and with plenty of opportunity to climb further over the coming days.
One of the standout performances of the day came from Medea Falcioni (ITA). After a difficult opening day, the 15-year-old Italian broke into the top ten with an impressive run of Slalom results. Falcioni claimed two race wins and never finished outside the top three, making a significant jump up the overall standings.
In the men’s fleet, Federico Alan Pilloni (ITA) remains firmly in the lead. The Italian continued his outstanding form from the opening day, winning all four races to retain the top spot in the overall standings.
The main challenge to his lead comes from local sailor Stanislaw Trepczynski (POL). Competing on home waters, the Polish sailor secured three victories and climbed to second overall, putting himself firmly in contention for the title after eight races.
Leonardo Tomasini (ITA) remains third overall, holding the same position he occupied at the end of the opening day and giving Italy two sailors inside the provisional top three.
Among the day’s other standout performers was Bernat Tomás, from Club Nàutic s’Arenal, who delivered a strong performance to break into the top ten of the men’s standings. His results underline his strong form at the championship and keep him among the fleet’s leading contenders.
