Alejandro will sail aboard “Marinus First”, a First 42s7 ship equipped with the newest sailing technology, communication and retransmission.

Alejandro will also carry out interviews, connections with media and hosts during the journey, in addition to answering questions from the public in two daily sessions, at 12 AM and 8 PM.
In addition, after arriving to the port, there will be a talk to explain on first hand the lived experience at the Club Nàutic de Ciutadella.
“In Spain we have a vision of the sea that does not correspond with reality. The sea is so much more than beaches and yachts. It’s adventure, sport, superation… With this challenge we want to show this other side to the whole world and encourage people to perceive seamanship with different eyes”, explained Alejandro Martínez.
“BCN - MEN live” wants to promote sailing, inspire new sailors and give visibility to offshore sailing in Spain, a field where other countries such as France have already been leading for decades.
This initiative takes place under the Oceanic Navigation Team, a bet on long term so that Spain gains stable representation at the main worldwide solitary sailing competitions. May’s challenge implies a key step towards bigger objectives, such as the Mini-Transat.
The project is open to nautical sector’s collaboration, brands, media and amateurs. You can collaborate through technical support, logistics, communication or sponsorship. The objective: to join forces to build the first permanent oceanic sailing Spanish team.
