The 21st Andalusian Olympic Week concluded in the waters of the Bay of Cádiz with a decisive final day marked by strong easterly winds exceeding 20 knots, which ultimately determined the national titles at stake.

The regatta, one of the major events on the national calendar, decided several Spanish Cups this week in the ILCA 7, iQFOiL, Techno and Wingfoil classes, confirming its strategic role as a key platform for high performance and youth development.

In ILCA 7, Andalusian sailor Roberto Aguilar (CNM Benalmádena) was crowned Spanish Cup champion after a solid performance in demanding conditions. Aguilar, who had recently won the Spanish Championship in Dénia, completed a national double in just two weeks. He was joined on the podium by Catalans Joan Fargas and Quim Ferrer (CN Sant Feliu de Guíxols).

In the Spanish Wingfoil Championship, Canary Islands sailor Alberto Citzia dominated the fleet with six wins in eight races. Silver went to Ancor Yone Sosa (Fuerteventura) and bronze to Leo Zabell (CNM Benalmádena).

In men’s iQFOiL, Antonio Medina (RC El Candado, Málaga) secured both the overall and Under-23 Spanish Cup titles after a tight battle with Catalan sailor Guillem Segu (CN Salou), who finished second.

In the women’s category, Olympic sailor Pilar Lamadrid (CN Puerto Sherry) delivered an impressive final day to claim both the overall title and the Spanish Cup, breaking the tie in the last races of the championship.

In youth categories, the standout sailors included Martina Mantovani (Valencian Community), Spanish Cup champion in the women’s youth division; Balearic sailor Jorge Ruiz (Club Nàutic s’Arenal), youth male champion; Enric Patiño (CNA), Under-17 champion; and Julia Gómez (Catalonia), Under-23 champion.

In Techno Under-17, the national titles went to Curro Simbad Llorca and Galicia’s Lindia Pousa.

In the Under-15 category, the Spanish Cup champions were Balearic sailor Joshua Castro (Club Marítimo San Antonio de la Playa) and Canary Islands sailor Cristina Iglesias.

In Under-13, Balearic sailor María Martorell (Club Marítimo San Antonio de la Playa) won the girls’ title, while Catalan Biel Escudero claimed the boys’ championship.

With demanding conditions and strong participation from sailors across Spain, the Andalusian Olympic Week once again established itself as one of the most important events on the national sailing calendar, serving as a key platform for national titles and for the development of windsurfing and dinghy sailing across all categories.

The trophy ceremony took place at the Bay of Cádiz Specialized Sailing High-Performance Centre, bringing to a close an edition marked by a high sporting level and broad territorial representation.
