On his behalf, in the male fleet, Nacho Baltasar, from Club Nàutic Sa Ràpita, protagonized a highlighted performance that allowed him to get the fourth position of the overall qualifying, in addition to being one of best qualified in U23 category, maintaining the fight for the provisional podium.
The session carried the regattas area to the area of the lighthouse, with somewhat better waves than at the debut of the championship and a north-northeast wind that began with less intensity. These conditions obliged the Races Committee to begin the day with a male slalom sprint session, before starting with the upwind slalom races, with three races for men and four for women. Short and very explosive races that require maximum precision in departures and clean execution in the first meters.
In this demanding scenery, the male qualifying was led provisionally by Italian Federico Pilloni, while the female fleet was led by British Emma Wilson.
With some upcoming competition days, regularity and adaptation capacity are still key in iQFOiL International Games that keep Balearic sailors in great positions.
