This summer, up to 749 'Blue Flags' will fly on Spanish beaches—two more than in 2024—including 642 on beaches, 101 for marinas, and six for tourist boats. This keeps Spain at the top globally for the number of distinctions awarded by the Environmental Education and Consumer Association (ADEAC).

Additionally, the flag will also be flown at 14 marinas on the islands of Mallorca, Menorca, and Ibiza.
In terms of this summer's total number of flags, the Balearic archipelago ranks sixth for beaches and fourth for marinas. Furthermore, the lifeguard services of Palma and Sant Llorenç des Cardassar have received special mentions.
Thus, Spain remains the world leader in 'Blue Flags' for beaches, and ranks third in recognitions for marinas.
In Ibiza, seven 'Blue Flags' will fly on beaches in the following municipalities:
Sant Joan de Labritja: Cala Benirrás and Cala Sant Vicent
Santa Eulària des Riu: Des Riu, Santa Eulària, Cala Llenya, Es Canar, and Es Figueral
In Mallorca, ten municipalities have beaches with 'Blue Flag' status:
On the island of Menorca, the flag will fly on beaches in two municipalities:
As for new additions, the beaches of Des Riu (Santa Eulària des Riu), Sant Elm (Andratx), Cala Ferrera (Felanitx), and Can Picafort (Santa Margalida) will display the flag this summer after not having it last year.
Compared to last year, Cala Santanyí (Santanyí), Cala Major (Palma), and Cala Galdana (Ferreries) have lost the distinction.

Menorca – Port de Ciutadella
