From March 7th to the 13th, Cádiz will host the second part of the 2026 iQFOiL Games and Youth & Junior Games, an international windsurf foil competition that will gather 172 sailors coming from 36 countries. Among the participants there are 15 athletes from clubs of the Balearic Islands, which confirms the importance of the archipelago in this modality.

Competition will officially start on Saturday March 7 with the registry and material verification session, while the first sessions of the Opening Series are programmed from March 9th. The program also includes a training session on day 8 and an opening ceremony on that same session.
The format of the event contemplates an Opening Series that can include different disciplines, Course Racing, Sprint Racing and Marathon, followed by a Medal Series in which the best 10 qualified of the initial phase will compete. If the fleet is divided into groups, the Opening Series will be organized in Qualifying Series and Final Series before accessing the fight for the medals.
During the competition, men and women will compete in different departures, and the program expects up to 16 races of the Opening Series, with a maximum of four daily races per fleet, that could end up being five in case of delays in the calendar.
The Medal Series, scheduled for March 13th, will be carried out in three phases, fourths of final, semifinal and great final, and will decide the winners of this international date, that will end with the awards ceremony on that same day.
