On Sunday, August 24th, the ILCA U21 World Championship kicked off in the waters off Dublin, Ireland. Among the 212 participants, seven are from the Balearic Islands.

The Balearic sailors, representing Club de Vela Port d’Andratx, Real Club Náutico de Palma, Club Nàutic s’Arenal, Club Nàutic Ciutadella, and Club Nàutic Sa Ràpita, have started with very promising performances.
On the first day, Karol Krupski, from Club de Vela Port d’Andratx, secured third place in the men’s U19 category, while Marga Perelló, from Club Nàutic Sa Ràpita, reached third place in the women’s U21 category.
The opening day began the qualification round for the men’s ILCA 7 fleet, consisting of 139 boats split into two groups, while the women’s ILCA 6 fleet, made up of 73 sailors, competes as a single group throughout the championship.
The competition continues today, Monday, August 25th, with the second day of racing starting at midday.
