YOU HAVE ALL OF OUR FULL PROGRAMS HERE!But this year, beachgoers at s’Arenal de Llucmajor have been met with a surprise: the usual sunbeds and umbrellas typically installed during the summer season are nowhere to be found. As a result, in 2025, visitors to this beach will not be able to enjoy any of these services.
The Llucmajor Town Hall has confirmed that the installation of seasonal services at s’Arenal beach, such as sunbeds and umbrellas, has been delayed due to administrative issues. According to the Council, “the delay is due to the timelines involved in the administrative procedures with the General State Administration, which is the body responsible for granting the necessary permits.”
Meanwhile, the organization in charge of managing the services explained that the Town Hall failed to submit the required authorization request in time to operate in the public maritime-terrestrial domain. Additionally, the concessions for operating these services were not tendered within the expected timeframe, which has prevented their setup at the start of the season.
This situation has "completely outraged" the sector, which had been demanding answers from the Town Hall for three weeks due to the lack of beach equipment, a situation that has led to complaints from visitors. The Playa de Palma Hotel Association (AHPP) has called on the Town Hall to take responsibility, stressing that the beach is a public asset and that both residents and tourists rely on the availability of sunbeds and umbrellas.
