An spectacular and multitudinary event has taken place today, May 20th, at the Caló de s’Oli Auditory, at Cala de Bou, where the closure of 2025’s edition of the project ‘Aprenentatge i Servei (APS) Badia de Portmany’ has taken place, encouraged by Balearic Government’s  Education Office.

More than 500 students and teachers from the five schools involved in this edition (Sa Blanca Dona, Quartó de Portmany, Sa Serra, Algarb, and Xarc) have attended the event, along with other collaborators of the initiative, bringing the total number of participants to nearly 600 people. The event was organized by Ibiza’s Teacher Training Center.

From 9:45 AM to 1:00 PM., students took part in presentations of the projects they had worked on, which took place both inside and outside the cultural center. These presentations were supported by videos, images, and infographics. Additionally, five information booths were set up in the lobby and outdoor area. All attending students visited these booths to learn firsthand about their peers’ projects, ask questions, and evaluate them. To facilitate this, the 500 students were divided into 20 groups that rotated among the various stations. Two large murals were also installed, where all students could leave messages related to their experience and the conservation of Portmany Bay. A refreshment area was also provided.

The projects presented by Ibizan students participating in the APS Badia de Portmany program for the 2024–2025 school year are as follows: "What do Portmany Bay and Talamanca have in common? What can we do for them?", by IES Sa Blanca Dona, "Love Portmany Bay: Know, Care, and Raise Awareness", by IES Quartó de Portmany – ESO, “Study of Human Pressure on Portmany Bay", by IES Quartó de Portmany – Baccalaureate, "Healing Islets", by IES Sa Serra, "Know to Protect, Know to Love", by IES Algarb, and "Reduce Waste, Improve Biodiversity", by IES Xarc.
