The women's general qualifying was led by Mar de Arce, with Neus Pericás in second place and Leya Seguí in third.
On this occasion, the regattas area was placed near the port, in front of es Cap Blanc, where there was a very strong wind, with a lot of waves. Half the better qualified participants have fought the final race for the gold, carrying out five tests that, added to the qualifying test, make a total of seventeen. The ones who took part in the silver final have faced the other three, which sums to a total of 15 tests.
Hereafter, these are the final podiums of each category: Great Male Master 1º Juan López, 2º Fernando Salgado, 3º Benjamín Burillo; Great Female Master 1ª Carmen Pertegás; U19 Male Juvenile 1º Ancor Yone Sosa, 2º Manuel Morillo, 3º Leo Zabell; U19 Juvenile Female 1ª Leya Seguí, 2ª Ariadna Riutort; Male Master 1º Mario Fernández, 2º Regy Dils; Senior Male 1º Ángel Granda, 2º Jeremy Rodríguez, 3º Alberto Citzia; Senior Female 1ª Mar de Arce, 2ª Alba Nieto; U16 Male 1º Dino Loiacono, 2º Nico Mingione, 3º Luis López, and U16 Female 1ª Neus Pericás. The first qualified of the CNSA has been Leo Kleine, in 22nd place. The awards ceremony took place yesterday afternoon in the village of the race, in the main deck of Club Nàutic Sant Antoni.
According to the entity’s sports director’s valuation, Enrique Mas, “this edition of the IWO has been a great regatta and participants go home satisfied due to how the competition has been carried out”. It is important to remember that, unlike the other competitions of the wingfoil national circuit, which starts from the beach’s coast, sailors go onto a ferry to move to the bay’s place with the best wind conditions. This edition’s participants have arrived coming from the Valencian Community, Canary Islands, Andalusia, Castilla la Mancha, Navarre and, mainly, from the Balearics, which is the region that sums more participants.
The CNSA, which has organized the event alongside the Spanish Royal Sailing Federation, has been boosting this modality for years and carrying out sponsoring and regattas activities. The new nautical centre, which the entity will open in 2026, will be a reference spot in the island, in which this and other wind sports will still be boosted. The race has had the sponsorship of Consell Insular d’Eivissa, Café del Mar and Baleària.
