The Andratx Town Hall has officially kicked off the beach season with the addition of three designated dog-friendly areas and the optimization of lifeguard and rescue services, aiming to ensure safer, more accessible beaches that meet the needs of both residents and visitors.

These areas have been properly marked and are governed by specific regulations to ensure respectful coexistence between swimmers and pets. With this initiative, the Town Hall is responding to local residents' requests.
On the other hand, regarding lifeguard services, as of May 1, each beach is staffed with two lifeguards per shift. Starting June 1, the beaches of Sant Elm and Camp de Mar will be staffed with three lifeguards per shift, thereby enhancing the capacity for emergency response and care. A key improvement is the implementation of a walkie-talkie communication system that enables immediate coordination between teams across all municipal beaches via an internal channel, as well as direct communication between the two main beaches. This system ensures greater efficiency and faster incident management.
