Ana Musatova, of CVPA, claims victory at the Spanish Championship in the Europe Class

After taking silver at the European Championship in Torrevieja and finishing fourth at the recent World Championship in Italy, Ana Musatova —sailor of the Club de Vela Port d’Andratx and coach of its youngest Optimist sailors— has successfully defended her national title, once again being crowned Spanish Champion in the Women’s International Europe Class and placing third overall in Los Narejos, Mar Menor.

The championship, organized from September 10 to 14 by the Sailing Federation of the Region of Murcia at the Infanta Cristina High-Performance Sports Center —a national and international benchmark facility located on the shores of the Mar Menor— brought together the country’s top 20 athletes in this discipline.

Over the course of four intense days, twelve races were contested under variable weather conditions.

The opening day began with light easterly winds and concluded with fresh westerly breezes, while the following days were dominated by thermal easterly winds of variable intensity, ranging from light to moderate.

Another outstanding experience and a remarkable result that paves the way for another great season for Musatova, with her sights now set on qualifying for the European and World Championships.
