Alcudiamar hosts the fifth edition of its solidary regatta to benefit Projecte Home Balears

From the 31st of May to the 1st of June, Alcudiamar will host the fifth Trofeu Alcudiamar - Projecte Home Balears, a solidary regatta for ORC/RI cruises to benefit Projecte Home Balears.

The competition will be held over two days, during the weekend, with a series of activities that will offer fun for the whole family. The regatta, which seeks to raise funds and give visibility to the work of the organisation in the prevention and treatment of addictions, has the official sponsorship of MarSenses Hotels & Homes and the special collaboration of Autovidal, among others.

During the first day, on the 31st of May, the registry of the sailors will take place and various workshops will be offered for all audiences. These include a sea turtle rescue drill by the Palma Aquarium Foundation, a workshop on sea knots organised by the Alcudia Fishermen's Guild and a Paddle Surf workshop by Wind Pirates. Around 2:30 p.m. the starting gun will be fired for the regatta, which is scheduled to finish at around 7:00 p.m. The competition can be followed live on board the Transportes Marítimos Brisa boat "Anacaona". Once the regatta is over, a batucada will be performed by the group Trons del Nord, which will take place on board the ‘Anacaona’.

On the second day, 1st June, the Palma Aquarium Foundation will hold a beach cleaning workshop. That same day, the boats will set sail again at around 11:30 am to continue with the competition.

One of the highlights of this edition is the exclusive Trofeu Alcudiamar, a special trophy that can only be won definitively if a boat wins it three consecutive times or five times alternately. Likewise, the prize-giving ceremony will take place on Sunday 1 June at 19:00 at the Botel Alcudiamar.
