AGENDA from October 31st to November 6th: final countdown for the Vela Ligera Store Trophy

To help you make the most of what the Mediterranean has to offer this week, here’s a roundup of the most notable events taking place.

Tomorrow, Saturday, November 1st, the Club Nàutic s’Arenal  will reunite over a 100 young Balearic sailors of the Optimist and Optimist D classes in a regatta that combines competitiveness and camaraderie.

MALLORCA

• JORDI CALAFAT TROPHY // (from October 31st to November 2nd) – Organized by: Club Marítimo San Antonio de la Playa (+ info)

Description: The club hosts the Balearic Islands Championship, which will have 9 races for the Techno 293 class and 12 for the iQFOiL class.

• A2 CIRCUIT // (November 1st) – Organized by: Reial Club Nàutic del Port de Pollença (+ info)

Description: Five ORC cruiser boats and three Flying Fifteen will participate in a demanding regatta in A2 format, which means in crews formed by two people.

• VELA LIGERA STORE TROPHY // (from November 1st to 2nd) – Organized by: Club Nàutic s’Arenal (+ info)

Description: Over a 100 sailors of the Optimist and Optimist D classes will face each other in a regatta that qualifies for the ranking of Mallorca of Optimist 2025-2026.

• USO DE COMBUSTIBLES SINTÉTICOS EN EL SECTOR MARÍTIMO // (November 6th) – Organized by: Marina Mercante y Anave (+ info)

Description: The Directorate General of the Marine Merchant and Anave,amongst other entities, will participate in a webinar about the use of sustainable fuels in maritime transport.

• MARINE ZERO WASTE BUSINESS // (November 6th) – Organized by: Rezero (+ info)

Description: The Rezero Foundation organizes this session in the BIT Center of Inza with the aim to boost one-use only plastics reduction and the practices of zero waste in maritime tourism.

• NAUTICAL JOB DAY // (November 6th) – Organized by: Balearic Marine Cluster (+ info)

Description: The Balearic Marine Cluster and the SOIB organize a meeting with the aim to boost employment, give visibility to professional opportunities of the sector and strengthen the public-private collaboration between both entities.

• ILLES BALEARS GABINET LLADÓ TROPHY // (from November 6th to 9th) – Organized by: Club Nàutic Sa Ràpita (+ info)

Description: The iconic Gabinet Lladó Trophy, a regatta formed by nine races for Optimist class sailors in the U11, U13 and U16 categories returns, a competition that this year acquires the character of Optimist Balearics Championship.

MENORCA

• 1ST COMPETITION CONSELL DE MENORCA TROPHY // ( November 1st) – Organized by: Club Marítimo de Mahón (+ info)

Description: Close to 20 paddlers in the children, cadet, initiation and benjamin categories gather in Menorcan waters to compete in the discipline of “Aigües tranquil·les”.

• ALMIRANTE FARRAGUT TROPHY // (from November 1st to 2nd) – Organized by: Club Nàutic Ciutadella (+ info)

Description: The ILCA 4, Optimist, and Optimist D classes meet in Menorcan waters to compete in this regatta, which counts toward the 2025–2026 Menorca Optimist ranking.

IBIZA

• IBIZA’s CHAMPS - ONE TROPHY aND CONSTRUCCIONES METÁLICAS FITA // (from November 1st to 2nd) – Organized by: Club Náutico Ibiza (+ info)

Description: Playa d'en Bossa becomes the setting for the second part of this regatta for the ILCA 4 and ILCA 6 classes, which will consist of six races.

• COPA DEL CANAL // (from November 1st to 2nd) – Organized by: Es Nàutic (+ info)

Description: The ORC cruising boats will undertake a passage starting in Dénia and finishing in Sant Antoni, crossing the channel.
