AGENDA from May 22nd to the 28th: the Alcudiamar – Proyecto Hombre Baleares Trophy arrives

Tomorrow, Saturday May 23rd, Alcudiamar hosts a new edition of the Alcudiamar – Proyecto Hombre Baleares Trophy, a charity regatta celebrated in the bay of Alcúdia that combines nautical competition and social commitment with the aim of raising funds for the addiction prevention and treatment of Projecte Home Balears.

MALLORCA

Description: Within the benchmark of World Boating Day, the entity organizes a free activities session for all the family, including sailing departures, experiences at vessels, nautical sports, visits to the historical ‘Rafael Verdera’ vessel, children workshops, gastronomic suggestions and spaces to discover training and employment opportunities inside the nautical sector.

Description: The Ausmar Regattas Circuit celebrates its second offshore regatta for the cruisers fleet, with departure from Port Ginesta to Mallorca and arrival in front of Reial Club Nàutic Port de Pollença after passing the cape of Formentor and sailing 104 nautical miles.

Description: Diana Borràs and Antònia Puig will offer in Associació de Veïns del Port de Pollença a conference focused on tradition and innovation of the floating patrimony of the dock.

Description: The Club Nàutic s’Arenal and the Club SAPEMA host the final session of this circuit which combines photography, freediving and marine biology.

• PEPE ESTELA MEMORIAL TROPHY// (May 23rd) – Organized by: Real Club Náutico de Palma (+ info)

Description: More than ten cruiser vessels gather at the bay of Palma to take part in this traditional regatta, which qualifies for the 2025-26 RCNP Offshore League.

• TROBADA D’ESPÈCIES // (May 23rd) – Organized by: Club Nàutic Sa Ràpita (+ info)

Descripción: The club organizes a new fishing session in the species modality, in which the capture of the major number possible of different species is more important than the size of the species.

Description: The Government and the Ajuntament de Pollença organize this gastronomic event with the aim of boosting the local consumption of local product, promoting fishing sustainability and reinforcing the link with the primary sector through a gastronomic and cultural proposal.

Description: The bay of Alcúdia will be the scenary of this charity regatta, organized by the sports marina Alcudiamar and Projecte Home Balears, which combines sports competition, tourism and educational activities to raise funds destined to adiction prevention and treatment programmes.

Description: Twenty athletes will compete in this insular Raceboard session, a windsurf modality that is practiced with competition boards of great length and mobile keel, designed to offer performance in different wind conditions and which combines technique, strength and strategy in route regattas.

Description: The club organizes an open day session to show its facilities and show first hand the different nautical activities that are carried out throughout the year.

Description: The entity will reunite experts to discuss the conservation of the oceans, the blue economy and the future of marinas into a debate space and encounter created to boos the sustainable transition in the nautical sector.

Description: The longest-running congress and professional forum in Spain dedicated to the nautical and sports sector comes to Palma, bringing together experts, companies, and industry professionals to discuss trends, challenges, and innovation in the nautical industry.

• 2ND BLUE WEEK // (from May 18th to June 18th) – Organized by: Govern de les Illes Balears (+ info)

Description: More than 5,000 fifth- and sixth-grade primary school students from the islands will take part in this program of activities, which encourages the practice of water sports, promotes maritime culture, and raises awareness among young people about the protection of the marine environment, while also fostering healthy lifestyle habits. 

MENORCA

Description: The club celebrates a new edition of this light sailing regatta for young promises of the Optimist and ILCA classes and qualifiable for the Balearic ranking and Scholar Games of the island.

Description: The cruising vessels will sail in A2 format, with two people crew, in a circumnavigation of the island of Menorca which demands great strategy, strength and coordination.

IBIZA

Description: Both entities organize in Ibiza a volunteering session to clean beaches, which will include breakfast in Bam-Bu-Ku for participants.

Description: ILCA 4 and ILCA 6 classes sailors will compete in a new edition of this regatta in waters of Ibiza.
