AGENDA from June 5 to the 11: cruising yachts compete in the 4th Pasión por el Mar Trophy Regatta

To help you make the most of what the Mediterranean has to offer this week, here’s a roundup of the most notable events taking place.

Tomorrow, Saturday June 6th, cruising yachts will gather at the Club Nàutic Sa Ràpita to participate in a new edition of the 4th Pasión por el Mar Regatta Trophy. The competition will gather, one more year, shipowners, crews, members, attendants and guests around a great nautical session.

MALLORCA

• INTERNATIONAL WORKSHOP ON MODELING THE OCEAN // (from June 2nd to 5th) – Organized by: IMEDEA, CSIC-UIB (+ info)

Description: The city of Palma hosts for the first time in Spain the most important meeting for the scientific community that studies oceanic modelization, the 16th International Workshop on Modeling the Ocean (IWMO 2026).

Description: The club continues with its prestigious regatta for the international 6 Metres class with the second session.

Description: More than twenty boats that come from different points of the country will fight for the national trolling fishing championship, a category that consists in dragging some baits from the vessel into offshore.

Description: Puerto Portals celebrates its famous event with live music, DJs, a unique sunset, food trucks, an experience corner and much more.

• 4TH PASIÓN POR EL MAR TROPHY REGATTA // (June 6th) – Organized by: Passion for the Sea (+ info)

Description: Cruising boats will gather at the Club Nàutic Sa Ràpita to compete in one of the most awaited competitions of the sailor calendar of the southeast of Mallorca.

• EUROPEAN PARTY // (June 6th) – Organized by: Club Nàutic s’Arenal (+ info)

Description: The club celebrates a soireé to enjoy the best music and offer a great combination of international and local gastronomy.

• COMMUNITARY CLEANING IN PORTOCOLOM // (June 6th) – Organized by: Cleanwave Foundation (+ info)

Description: Volunteers groups will participate in a community cleaning session in the coast of Portocolom.

• ROUTE: WHERE THE EARTH MEETS WITH THE SEA // (June 6th) – Organized by: Maritime Museum of Mallorca (+ info)

Description: The Museum organizes a guided route by the Port of Sóller to discover history, landscape and maritime patrimony of one of the most iconic ports of Mallorca.

• REEF KNOTS WORKSHOP // (June 6th) – Organized by: Maritime Museum of Mallorca (+ info)

Description: Diego Riera will carry out a reef knots workshop open to everyone.

• BALEARI INDIVIDUAL FINALS // (from June 6th to 7th) – Organized by: Underwater Balearic Activities Federation (+ info)

Description: Mallorca hosts the final session of this spearfishing championship for the individual category.

• PALMA - SANTA PONSA - PALMA REGATTA // (from June 6th to 7th) – Organized by: Real Club Náutico de Palma (+ info)

Description: Fifteen cruising yachts will take part in a route from Palma to Santa Ponsa and return to Palma.

Description: Young Optimist class sailors gather at the Club Nàutic Portitxol to take part in the 47th edition of this iconic regatta.

Description: The entity organizes another edition of this iconic regatta for traditional boats and lateen sailing.

Description: The club organizes the fifth Portocolom Trophy, inside the mark of the traditional cruising yachts league of the club.

Description: The Port Center of Palma hosts a sustainable fishing workshops with a disclosure session about the project LIFE-OASIS in charge of Sergio Ruiz and Ricardo Sagarminaga, from the Alnitak Association.

Description: Es Baluard will turn into the scenary of this important annual multidisciplinary forum that focuses on sustainability, energetic transition, and economic and territorial resilience.

Description: The club hosts this exclusive sailing regatta designed for owners of vessels of the Danish shipyards brand X-Yachts.

Description: The artist Mònica Fuster presents a new phase of the artistic research project TAPÍS (2020-2026), a video piece that explores, from a poetic gaze, maritime routes linked to discovery of the chili and historical routes of spices, stablishing a dialogue between sea, land and memory.

• 2ND BLUE WEEK // (from May 18th to June 18th) – Organized by: Govern de les Illes Balears (+ info)

Description: More than 5,000 fifth- and sixth-grade primary school students from the islands will take part in this program of activities, which encourages the practice of water sports, promotes maritime culture, and raises awareness among young people about the protection of the marine environment, while also fostering healthy lifestyle habits.

Description: The windsurf for the IQFoil, Raceboard and Bic Techno 293 classes continues.

Description: Ten cruising yachts will gather in Menorcan waters to compete in this insular session.

• 9TH SAR PRINCESA DE ASTURIAS CUP // (from June 11th to 14th) – Organized by: Club Nàutic Ciutadella (+ info)

Description: Recreational fishmongers will compete in this height put-and-take fishing event, a modality that consists in catching a fish in deep waters of offshore and, afterwards, return it to the sea alive.

IBIZA
