AGENDA from June 19th to the 25th: San Juan arrives to the ports of the islands

To help you make the most of what the Mediterranean has to offer this week, here’s a roundup of the most notable events taking place.

Next June 23rd, the ports of the islands will get ready to welcome San Juan, one of the most awaited nights of the year. Among barbecues, sardine barbecues, live music and hang outs along the sea, nautical clubs of the islands will turn into privileged scenarios to enjoy this tradition.

MALLORCA

• ON ROUTE // (from June 6th to 24th) – Organized by: Maritime Museum of Mallorca (+ info)

Description: The artist Mònica Fuster presents a new phase of the artistic research project TAPÍS (2020-2026), a video piece that explores, from a poetic gaze, maritime routes linked to discovery of the chili and historical routes of spices, stablishing a dialogue between sea, land and memory.

Description: Sports fishmongers gather in Pollença to compete in this national session, which qualifies for the World Championship.

Description: The clubs gives the gunshot to the first session of the league for cruising boats.

• ARMED FORCES TROPHY // (June 20th) – Organized by: Real Club Náutico de Palma (+ info)

Description: Thirty cruising yachts will compete at the 47th edition of this historical regatta.

Description: The club organizes a rockfish fishing session for the small ones.

Description: Paddlers in junior and senior categories gather in waters of Alcúdia to enjoy this competition.

• SUMMER'S START PARTY // (June 20th) – Organized by: Club Nàutic Cala Gamba (+ info)

Description: The club welcomes summer with its traditional party, which will have multiple activities such as kayak, paddle surf and sailing. in addition to a funny water guns battle.

Descripción: The entity organizes a free trip aboard the e-Shuttle to enjoy the sea.

• CLUMA REGATTA // (from June 20th to the 21st) – Organized by: Club de Mar-Mallorca (+ info)

Description: More than 50 sailors of ILCA 4 and ILCA 6 classes will compete in the seventh edition of this traditional trophy.

• BLUE MARINA DAY // (June 21st) – Organized by: Puerto Portals (+ info)

Description: Puerto Portals brings sea and sustainability closer to civilians through an aquatic activities session such as kayak and paddñe surf, in addition to an educational workshop regarding marine conservation.

Description: The club invites its members to enjoy a unique sunset aboard the catamaran Life & Sea, accompanied by drinks and finger food. 

• YOGA INTERNATIONAL DAY // (June 21st) – Organized by: Club Nàutic Sa Ràpita (+ info)

Description: With the motive of Yoga International Day, the club organizes a second yoga masterclass led by Maria Monserrat, member of the club and passionate of this discipline that combines movement, breathing and well-being.

Description: The first session of this social regattas league for cruising yachts and B/Ones starts.

• THE SUPERYACHT CUP PALMA RICHARD MILLE // (from June 24th to the 27th) – Organized by: Club de Mar-Mallorca (+ info)

Description: The oldest superyachts regatta of Europe celebrates its 30th anniversary with a total of twenty registered boats.

Description: More than 40 cruiser yachts will take a 140 nautical miles trip from Barcelona to the port of Mahón.
