AGENDA from February 20th to the 24th: the Dragon Winter Series heads into its final stretch

The 9th Mediterranean Cup, which began yesterday, Thursday 19 February, continues today as the final event of the Dragon Winter Series in Puerto Portals, which will conclude on the 22nd.

MALLORCA

• 9TH MEDITERRANEAN CUP // (from February 19th to the 22nd) – Organized by: Puerto Portals (+ info)

Description: More than 50 Dragon-class boats have gathered in Puerto Portals to compete in this prestigious event, where, in addition to awarding the top three overall finishers, the Best Classic and Best Corinthian trophies will also be presented.

• GALERIA MAIOR TROPHY // (February 21st) – Organized by: Reial Club Nàutic del Port de Pollença (+ info)

Description: Around ten cruiser yachts and Flying Fifteen class boats will sail in Pollença Bay.

• SABATINES TROPHY // (February 21st) – Organized by: Club Nàutic Portitxol (+ info)

Description: After its cancellation in January, Portitxol kicks off its regatta calendar for cruiser yachts with around ten entries.

• CALÇOTADA // (February 21st) – Organized by: Club Nàutic s’Arenal (+ info)

Description: The club invites its members to take part in a traditional gastronomic gathering featuring calçots, Catalan botifarra sausage, Mallorcan frit, bread and drinks.

• TROBADA SABATINERA // (February 21st) – Organized by: Club Nàutic Sa Ràpita (+ info)

Description: Sailors from different yacht clubs across the island will gather in Sa Ràpita for this traditional meeting.

• 4TH OPEN BLAUSUB APNEA // (February 21st) – Organized by: Subaquatic Activities Balearic Association (+ info)

Description: The federation is holding the fourth edition of this freediving event in Sa Pobla.

• FF AND SNIPE BALEARIC ISLANDS CHAMPIONSHIP // (February 21st) – Organized by: Reial Club Nàutic del Port de Pollença (+ info)

Description: The club hosts the island championship for Snipe-class sailors and Flying Fifteen boats.

• ABCIO CUP // (from February 21st to the 22nd) – Organized by: Balearic Sailing Federation (+ info)

Description: As part of the Pro-Rigging Trophy, the Real Club Náutico de Palma hosts this event for sailors who have not qualified for the Balearic Optimist Championship.

• PRO-RIGGING REGATTA // (from February 21st to the 22nd) – Organized by: Real Club Náutico de Palma (+ info)

Description: More than 100 Optimist sailors gather in Palma Bay to contest the first leg of this iconic regatta.

• BALEARIC ISLANDS DAY TROPHY // (February 22nd) – Organized by: Balearic Canoeing Federation (+ info)

Description: On the occasion of Balearic Islands Day, paddlers from across the archipelago gather in Portitxol to compete in a new edition of this event.

• 32ND HIVERN TROPHY // (February 22nd) – Organized by: Club Nàutic Cala Gamba (+ info)

Description: Lateen sailing boats will compete in the second race of the 32nd edition of the Trofeu Hivern.

• “FAROS PARA ORIENTARSE. FAROS PARA PERDERSE” // (February 24th) – Organized by: ARCA (+ info)

Description: Javier Pérez de Arévalo, historian, lighthouse keeper and musician, will give this lecture dedicated to the history of Mallorca’s lighthouses.
