AGENDA from August 29th to September 7th: the 61st Gran Día de la Vela excitement continues

From Thursday, August 28th, to Sunday, August 31st, the Optimist Sub13 and Sub16, ILCA 4, and 420 classes gather at Club Nàutic s'Arenal to compete in the second stage of the 61st Gran Día de la Vela – Bufete Frau, one of the flagship regattas of the Balearic sports calendar, bringing together hundreds of boats in the waters of Palma Bay and Llucmajor.

MALLORCA

Description: The Maritime Museum of the Port of Sóller gathers from July 11th to September 28th the pictoric project that Alberto Baraya has developed aboard the Brandó, a traditional Mallorcan llaüt.

Description: Over 500 athletes will participate in the 61st edition of this event for 420, ILCA 4, IQ Foil and Techno 293, ORC Cruisers and Lateen Sailing.

Description: Emblemática prueba de natación en aguas abiertas que tendrá lugar en la playa de Es Caló y cuyos beneficios irán destinados a la asociación ELA Balears.

Description: The club organizes a journey from the beach of Sa Ràpita to Ses Covetes in paddle surf, canoe or kayak.

Description: The club’s fishmongers gather in Sa Ràpita for a new fishing journey.

Description: With the opening of the raor fishing season, fishermen gather at Cala Gamba to enjoy the first day of the season.

Description: Los pescadores del club se reunirán en el Arenal para disfrutar de una nueva jornada de pesca del raor.

• 5TH NATALIO COMAS TROPHY // (from September 6th to 7th) – Organized by: Club Nàutic Portitxol (+ info)

Description: Sailors from the ILCA 4, ILCA 6, and ILCA Master classes gather at Portitxol to compete in the fifth edition of the Trofeo Natalio Comas.

MENORCA

Description: Over 40 ships gather in Menorcan waters in this prestigious classic sailing regatta.

IBIZA

• CANOE DAY // (August 30th) – Organized by: Es Nàutic (+ info)

Description: Canoeing amateurs gather in waters of Ibiza to enjoy this non competitive journey carrying out a trip by teams from the facilities of the club to the Salt d’en Portes.
