AGENDA from August 15th to 21st: the spectacle of the Illes Balears Clàssics continues

This week the bay of Palma is being the scenery of one of the most important historical boats regatta of the Mediterranean: the Illes Balears Clàssics, an unmissable date organized by Club de Mar-Mallorca and ideal for classic sailing and maritime preservation lovers.

MALLORCA

• LLATINA AND MESTRAL // (from July 11th to September 28th) – Organized by: Museu Marítim de Mallorca (+ info)

Description: The Maritime Museum of the Port of Sóller gathers from July 11th to September 28th the pictoric project that Alberto Baraya has developed aboard the Brandó, a traditional Mallorcan llaüt.

• ILLES BALEARS CLÀSSICS // (from August 13th to 17th) – Organized by: Club de Mar-Mallorca (+ info)

Description: Over 40 historical boats gather in one of the most important regattas of the Mediterranean circuit.

• MARITIME PROCESSION // (August 15th) – Organized by: Club Nàutic Portitxol (+ info)

Description: Procession by foot from the Parish of es Molinar to the club, continuing by sea to the Club Marítimo Molinar, from where it will be taken again to the Parish.

• OUTDOORS DINNER // (August 16th) – Organized by: Club Nàutic Portitxol (+ info)

Description: Outdoors soiree for members of the club.

• BONNIE TYLER // (August 16th) – Organized by: Port Adriano (+ info)

Description: Port Adriano da fin a su Music Festival con una actuación de la icónica Bonnie Tyler.

• ES CALÓ WINGFOIL SERIES // (August 16th) – Organized by: Club Nàutic s’Arenal (+ info)

Description: The beach of Es Caló de Sant Antoni gathers a new journey of the competition for Wingfoil.

• CHILDREN’S PARTY // (August 17th) – Organized by: Club Nàutic Portitxol (+ info)

Description: The youngest of the club will enjoy bouncy castles, a foam cannon and water games.

• 52 SUPER SERIES // (from August 18th to 23rd) – Organized by: Club de Mar-Mallorca (+ info)

Description: The 52 SUPER SERIES fleet gathers in Puerto Portals to compete in the fourth event of the competition.

• THE WORLD OF MERMAIDS // (August 19th) – Organized by: Club Nàutic Sa Ràpita (+ info)

Description: Scientist Jesús Duque Macías will give a conference on mermaids through a scientific, mythological and historical look.

• SANT BARTOMEU NÀUTIC // (from August 19th to 20th) – Organized by: Es Nàutic (+ info)

Description: The club hosts this regatta for Optimist and ILCA classes to celebrate Sant Bartomeu ‘fiestas’.

• PRESIDENT TROPHY // (from August 21st to 22nd) – Organized by: Club de Vela Port d’Andratx (+ info)

Description: Optimist class sailors gather in Andratx to participate in this regatta.
