This Wednesday February 4th, the risk will be low in areas of Ibiza and Formentera and in the south of Mallorca, between 10 a.m. and 03:59 p.m. Streaks of 45 to 55 kilometers are expected by hour, with the strength of 6 to 7, and waves of 2 or 3 meters, which could complicate sailing and activities at the coast.

The situation will get worse on Thursday 5th of February, when the warning level will rise to an important danger in wide areas. In Ibiza and Formentera, the warning will remain active between 12 a.m. and 7:59 p.m., with southeast winds of up to 65 kilometers per hour and waves of up to 4 meters, with slightly taller waves that could reach eight meters.

In Mallorca, the weather will be more severe in the south and east, where between 2 p.m. and 11:59 p.m. waves of four to five meters are expected and peaks of eight to 10 meters, accompanied by strong wind of the southeast, with a strength of 7 to 8. The rest of the island, including the Sierra de Tramuntana,  as well as in Menorca,  the risk will be low, although with adverse maritime conditions and waves of up to four meters.

Before this scenery, it is advised to extreme precaution at the coast, avoiding unnecessary maritime activities and staying informed of the evolution of meteorological warnings, since the weather could generate risk situations in the Balearic coast.
