The sixth edition of Ibiza JoySail is beginning to take shape with the confirmation of the first thirteen superyachts set to compete from the 17th to the 20th of September in the waters of Ibiza and Formentera. With lengths ranging from 89 to 131 feet, the initial fleet reflects the diversity, international character, and growing technical level that define this regatta within the global superyacht circuit.

Among the first confirmed entries are Aurelius (JOM Holland), Cervo and Inoui (both by Vitters), Geist (Spirit Yachts), Karibu (Oyster), Moat (Nautor’s Swan), Win Win (Baltic Yachts), Rose (Wally), and Nostromo (Pendennis Shipyard). They are joined by four yachts from Southern Wind: Gelliceaux, Kalantis, Liberty Squared, and Morgana.

This mix reflects the balance that defines Ibiza JoySail and aligns with its Corinthian spirit, a category that allows owners and crews to compete without fundamentally altering their yachts or compromising their original character.

Following the first round of invitations sent in late January, organisers have launched a second phase aimed at superyachts that previously expressed interest in participating. The response has been highly positive, confirming the regatta’s strong positioning and the high level of loyalty among owners and captains.

In many cases, the intention to take part in this edition had already been communicated to organisers beforehand, highlighting the anticipation surrounding Ibiza JoySail within the Mediterranean superyacht calendar.

Ana Teske, a member of the organising team and in direct contact with the fleet, highlighted the atmosphere building around the event: “We’re seeing very strong enthusiasm from both captains and owners. Many expressed interest in joining even before registrations officially opened, which shows the level of trust and connection that has developed with the regatta year after year.”

The confirmed fleet already places the 2026 edition at a high competitive level and represents more than half of the maximum fleet size, set at 20 yachts. Additional entries are expected during the second invitation phase, further enhancing the sporting dimension of the regatta.

In addition, the Perpetual Trophy, awarded to the yacht completing the Mallorca–Ibiza passage in the fastest time, will open its official record attempt window between 15th of August and 16th of September.

With the entry list continuing to grow and the second invitation phase underway, Ibiza JoySail 2026 is shaping up to be an edition that promises intensity on the water and a well-established atmosphere for owners and crews alike, both at sea and ashore.
