After two days of intense debate, international participation, and high-quality content, The Balearic Superyacht Forum 2025 concluded with a strategically significant announcement for the future of the sector: starting in 2026, the event will be renamed the Mediterranean Superyacht Forum. The forum is evolving to position the Mediterranean as a global epicenter of the yachting industry.

The Mediterranean Superyacht Forum launches with a clear mission: to drive strategic dialogue, co-creation, and action around the major challenges of the global yachting industry from a Mediterranean perspective. Although it will remain headquartered in Palma, its mission is international—open to all regions and stakeholders of the superyacht ecosystem.
The vision of the forum is to establish itself as Europe’s leading meeting point to address topics such as refit, digitalization, sustainability, talent development, operational excellence, marina management, and new business models. Guillermo García, president of the Balearic Marine Cluster, the event’s organizing body, stated:
“With this name change, we are responding to an already established reality. The forum is no longer just about the Balearics; it's about the global challenges of the sector. The Mediterranean is a strategic hub for the superyacht industry and, as such, it needs a forum that matches its stature. This evolution reflects our commitment to innovation, sustainability, and international collaboration.”
The rebranding is not merely a name change—it's a statement of intent. The Mediterranean Superyacht Forum aspires to become the premier annual gathering for reflection, debate, and international projection of the Mediterranean's yachting industry, bringing together professionals, institutions, and businesses from across the region.
“The future of the sector depends on building bridges between regions, sharing knowledge, and fostering a unified vision. The Mediterranean is a strategic hub for superyachts, and we believe it deserves a forum that lives up to that,” added the president of BMC.
With this change, the Balearic Marine Cluster takes another step in its mission to strengthen the competitive positioning of the Balearic Islands' yachting sector within the European and international context. Starting in 2026, the Mediterranean Superyacht Forum will be the must-attend event for all key industry players, where major operational and strategic challenges will be addressed by international experts with the active participation of all stakeholders.
During the two-day forum held at the Auditorium of Palma on April 29 and 30, more than 250 professionals and 150 companies from the yachting sector took part in a program that included presentations, panel discussions, innovation hackathons, and high-value networking spaces. The event coincided with the opening of the Palma International Boat Show, further reinforcing the international significance of Palma’s nautical week.
