YOU HAVE ALL OF OUR FULL PROGRAMS HERE!The first day of the OK Dinghy European Championship, organized by the Real Club Náutico de Palma, was postponed today due to lack of wind. The Race Committee raised the delta flag after the anemometer registered a wind intensity of seven knots in the Bay of Palma. However, as the boats reached the start line, the wind dropped below five knots, making it impossible to start the competition.
The organization has decided to move up the start of today's session, Thursday, October 31, to 11:00 AM, an hour earlier than planned, in order to make up for the races cancelled yesterday, October 30, and to try to stick to the regatta program, which runs until next Sunday.
The OK Dinghy European Championship features 84 sailors from 14 countries. This is the first time Spain has hosted a continental event of this class since its introduction in Mallorca four years ago by naval builder Javier Estarellas and sailor Luis Portella, both members of the Real Club Náutico de Palma.
Before the start of tomorrow's session, a minute of silence will be observed in memory of the victims of the DANA in the Valencian Community and other regions of Spain. The Real Club Náutico de Palma has issued a statement this afternoon on its social networks conveying its condolences to the families and friends of those who died in a tragedy that has shocked the entire country.
