More than 30,000 people visited the latest edition of the Palma International Boat Show, surpassing last year’s figure of 28,000 visitors. The fair, which closed its doors on May 3 at Palma’s Moll Vell, is organized by the Regional Development Agency of the Balearic Islands (ADRBalears) under the Ministry of Business, Employment, and Energy, in collaboration with BYBA (Balearic Yacht Brokers Association).
DID YOU LIKE THIS CONTENT? WELL... YOU HAVE ALL OF OUR FULL PROGRAMS HERE!While full satisfaction survey results from exhibitors are still pending, early data indicates that 95% of companies intend to return for the next edition. According to the organizers, this high level of exhibitor loyalty confirms the event’s strong performance. Additionally, it appears that commercial expectations were exceeded, with companies reporting an increase in visitors interested in purchasing products. Notably, several shipyards have already requested participation for next year to unveil new models. Overall, both visitors and exhibitors praised the quality and competitiveness of the fair’s offerings. Furthermore, more than 350 members of the press were accredited—most of them international journalists who came specifically to cover the Palma International Boat Show.
This edition will be remembered for the expansion of exhibition space, including a new area at Club de Mar. This space showcased custom-made one-off vessels from shipyards—a product range the show had previously been unable to accommodate due to space limitations. The new display included around ten sailing yachts afloat and on-land exhibitors, further positioning Palma as one of the top events on the nautical calendar. The fair now offers an exceptionally comprehensive range of boats, equipment, and services, featuring the largest display of large sailing yachts in the Mediterranean.
One of the fair’s most notable moments was the presentation of the Marcial Sánchez Barcáiztegui Award to Toni Salom, owner of Nautipaints, who until this year also served as president of the Balearic Marine Cluster. The award was presented by Alejandro Sáenz de San Pedro, Minister of Business, Employment, and Energy, in recognition of Salom’s dedication and the growth achieved by the cluster during his tenure. It's worth noting that the association began in 2019 with around twenty companies, and under Salom’s leadership, it now includes one hundred member businesses and a newly appointed board.
The next edition of the Palma International Boat Show will take place from April 29 to May 2, 2026.
